Stitcher for Podcasts is a popular app for listening to podcasts. It’s available on both iOS (Apple) and Android platforms and has a pretty big following. The app icon looks like this:
One thing you’ll have to do before you get started is sign up for a Stitcher account. Once you’ve signed up and signed in, you’ll be greeted by this screen:
Clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the lower right corner will open up a search screen:
Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen and another search screen will appear, now with a keyboard (handy, right?). When you type in “Stuck in the ’80s” a familiar podcast will appear in the results:
Clicking the plus sign next to our podcast will subscribe you! Click the search button at the bottom of the screen to clear off the keyboard.
Clicking on the second icon (which resembles a person’s head, I suppose?) will bring up your favorites page, newly populated with the Stuck in the ’80s podcast. What a feeling!
Clicking on our logo will bring you to the podcast’s home page:
Now all you have to do is click the play icon (yes, the small triangle, just like on your old Walkman) next to the show you want to hear. Stitcher’s default setting is to download new episodes of your favorite podcasts as they are posted online, so you should be all set!
